How do muscles make us move?

 What is muscular system?

The mascular system is an organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles.
Without muscle, humans could not live. Their are over 600 muscles in our body. The primary job of muscle is to move the bones of the skeleton.
The human muscular system is complex and has many functions in the body. The muscular system is composed of specialized cells called muscle fibers.

Functions of the muscular system are:-

The main function of the muscular system is movement but is also helps stabilize our joints, maintain our posture and generate heat during activity.

The muscular system is a set of tissues in the body with the ability to change shape.

The skeletal muscles are continually making fine adjustment that hold the body in stationary
positions.

They move all the different parts of the skeleton. They help us in all kinds of movements ,such as
walking , swimming, writing and even talking.

Tendons attach one end of the biceps and triceps to the shoulder blade and the other end to the radius or ulna. Each muscles can pull, but it cannot push. That is why two muscles are
needed to bend the arm back and forth at the elbow.

  1. The biceps contracts , pulling the radius in, while the triceps relaxes.
  2. The triceps contracts, pulling the ulna to the extended position, while the biceps relaxes.
  3. Smooth muscles are found in the walls of the digestive tract, urinary bladder, arteries and other internal organs. They are involuntary muscles because we do not consciously control them.
  4. Cardiac muscles are the muscles of the heart. Their continues in a coordinate rhythm as long as we live.
