Do You Know The Work Of Different bones In Our Body?

Our skeleton consists of all our bones,teeth,cartilage and joints. Some bones protect our internal organs. Some bones provide a framework for the body. Some bones contain red marrow that produces blood cells and yellow marrow that also stores fat.


There are different types of bones in our body. Their function is also different.
  1. Skull:- The skull is a bony structure that supports the face and forms a protective cavity for the brain.
     2. Spinal Column:- The human spinal cord is protected by the bony spinal column 
         shown to the left. The spinal column is made up of bones called vertebrae.
     
     3. Clavicle (collar bone):- The clavicle is a long bone that serves as a strut between the 
         shoulder blade and the sternum.

     4. Scapula:- The scapula is also known as the shoulder bone. It is a flat triangular bone 
         located at the back of the trunk and resides over the posterior surface of ribs.
          
     5. Sternum:- The sternum is a long flat bone located in the central part of the chest.

     6. Ribs:- One of the 12 paired arches of bone that form the skeleton structure of the chest
         wall.
      
     7. Humerus:- The humerus is the longest and largest and largest bone of the upper limb.

     8. Radius:- The Radius is a long bone in the forearm. It lies laterally and parallel to 
         ulna,the second of the forearm bones

     9. Pelvis:- The pelvis is the lower part of the torso. It is located between the abdomen 
         and the legs. 
   
   10. Tailbone:- The tailbone is at the bottom of the spine and helps to support the pelvis.

   11. Carpals:-  The carpals bones are the eight small bones that make up the wrist that 
         connects the hand to the forearm.
